Through the National Program of Cancer Registries (NPCR), CDC supports central cancer registries in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the Pacific Island jurisdictions. NPCR-funded registries report information electronically to CDC twice a year. Information is used to monitor trends in cancer incidence and to plan and evaluate public health programs. This Revision request includes an update of data definitions that reflect changes in national standards for cancer diagnosis, treatment, and coding. There are no changes to the estimated number of respondents or the burden per response.
