Abstract: The Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics (OEWS) survey is a Federal/State establishment survey of wage and salary workers designed to produce data on current detailed occupational employment and wages for each Metropolitan Statistical Area and Metropolitan Division as well as by detailed industry classification. OEWS survey data assists in the development of employment and training programs established by the Perkins Vocational Education Act of 1998 and the Workforce Investment Act of 1998. Respondents include private establishment, Schools, Hospitals, State and Local Government.

Short Statement: The OEWS program is conducting a test during the November 2022 and May 2023 panels with respondents in the state of Michigan. As part of the development tests outlined under Supporting Statement Part B, #4, the OEWS planned to conduct small scale tests on the feasibility of collecting additional data elements. The increase in burden is for conducting this test in Michigan.
