Abstract: Under the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, the FDA has the responsibility to prevent interstate distribution of food products which are potentially hazardous to the public health. This information collection will enable FDA to exercise better control and increase assurance that containers of acidified food and thermally processed low acid food receives a process which renders the food safe from microrganisms of health concern.
