Policy and Rules Concerning the Interstate, Interexchange Marketplace; Implementation of Section 254(g) of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended -- CC Docket No. 96-61
The collection incorporates the FCC Second Report and Order on CC Docket 96-61 which implements detariffing requirements for nondominent interexchange carriers. OMB revised the cost burden figures to reflect the correct magnitude. OMB recommends that the FCC issue some form of guidance as to what constitutes easy to understand and timely cost information that would be made available to the public in lieu of tariff information. OMB agrees that such information should not include any data that is not currently provided in tariff filings if possible.
