Abstract: THIS DATA COLLECTION WILL PROVIDE SURVEILLANCE DATA ON THE EXTENT AND TREND OF CONGENITAL SYPHILIS (UNDER 1 YEAR OF AGE) IN THE U.S. IT WILL SERVE A AN EPIDEMIOLOGIC AID IN THE DIAGNOSIS AND FOLLOWUP OF CASES' AND WILL PROVIDE LOCAL AREAS WITH A STANDARDIZED COLLECTION METHOD TO ASSURE ACCURATE DIAGNOSIS OF EARLY CONGENITAL SYPHILIS.
