Abstract: THE MAIN PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STATUS REVIE OPERATION IS TO IMPROVE THE OVERALL COVERAGE OF POPULATION AND HOUSING UNITS. THIS TEST WILL ALSO BE USED TO ACCOUNT FOR HOUSING UNITS THAT BECOME OCCUPIED AFTER CENSUS DAY. RESULTS OF THIS OPERATION WILL BE CAREFULLY EVALUATED FOR POSSIBLE INCLUSION IN THE 1990 CENSUS PROCEDURES.
