Abstract: THE MAIN PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STATUS REVIEW OPERATION IS TO IMPROVE THE OVERALL COVERAGE OF POPULATION AND HOUSING UNITS. THIS TEST WILL BE USED ALSO TO ACCOUNT FOR HOUSING UNITS THAT BECOME OCCUPIED AFTER CENS DAY. RESULTS OF THIS OPERATION WILL BE CAREFULLY EVALUATED FOR POSSIB INCLUSION IN THE 1990 CENSUS PROCEDURES.
