Abstract: THE DATA COLLECTED WILL BE USED TO ESTIMATE THE TAX PAPERWORK BURDEN FOR FY 84 AND TO BUILD A MODLE OF THE PAPERWORK BURDEN. DATA WILL BE COLLECTED FROM INDIVIDUAL TAXPAYERS WHO DID NOT RESPOND TO MAI QUESTIONNAIRES. RESULTS WILL BE USED TO DETECT AND ADJUST FROM NONRESPONSE BIAS IN THE MAIL SURVEY. ABOUT 1,000 PEOPLE WHO FILED INDIVIDUAL INCOME TAX RETURNS WILL BE AFFECTED.
