Abstract: THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS STUDY IS TO ELICIT INFORMATION FROM CONSUMERS CONCERNING THEIR TIPPING PRACTICES IN SUCH A MANNER AND IN SUCH AN EXTENT AS TO PROVIDE A CRIDIBLE DATA BASE TO ESTIMATE AMOUNTS OF TIPS EARNED BY SPECIFIED CATEGORIES OF EMPLOYEES. SURVEY SAMPLE WILL BE 50 PERCENT OF OF A 12,500 HOUSEHOLD PANEL. AREA.
