Abstract: REPORT COLLECTS INFORMATION ON DEBITS TO DEMAND AND SAVINGS DEPOSIT ACCOUNTS FROM A SAMPLE OF MEMBER BANKS. DEBITS INFORMATION IS USED IN FORMULATING BANKING AND CREDIT POLICIES. THESE DATA ARE ALSO USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH OTHER DATA TO INTERPRET MONEY-STOCK MOVEMENTS AND TO DETERMINE THE TURNOVER RATE FOR VARIOUS SECTORS OF ECONOMY.
