The Rapid Surveys System is a series of surveys designed to support three major goals: 1) to provide CDC and other partners with time-sensitive data of known quality about emerging and priority health concerns, 2) to use these data collections to continue NCHS’ learning and evaluation of the quality of public health estimates generated from commercial online panels, and 3) to improve methods to appropriately communicate the fitness for use of public health estimates generated from commercial online panels. representativeness and accuracy. Each survey will be informed by consultation across CDC components and other partners.
This Non substantive Change Request seeks approval to the OMB data collection that was approved on 06/30/2023 (OMB Control No. 0920-1408, Exp. 06/30/2026) for Round 6 of the RSS. Round 6 will include content on stroke knowledge and awareness, produce prescription programs, human papillomavirus infection testing–self collection, and chronic wasting disease. The burden for Round 6 is based on 8,000 complete surveys (2,664 hours) and 20 cognitive interviews (20 hours) using the same survey instrument. The total number of responses is 8,020 and the total burden is 2,684 hours. The burden hours requested is already included in the 28,079 approved burden hours for the 0920-1408 package.
