This collection is needed to ensure that PSAPs are ready to receive E911 Phase I or Phase II location information when the wireless carrier's obligation to deliver that information becomes due. This will reduce the possibility of both carriers and PSAPs investing time and money before the PSAP is actually E911-capable.
The Commission is reporting an adjustment/decrease to this information collection since the last submission to OMB. The total respondents decreased from 1,048 to 675 (-373), the total annual responses, 567, did not change, and the total annual burden hours, 527, did not change. These significant reductions to the number of respondents to this collection are based on the most current available data from the Commission.
No program changes are being reported.
