Abstract: Through this project, the Administration for Children and Families Office of Planning, Research and Evaluation is conducting a study of two statewide center-based and home-based pilot initiatives in Colorado that aim to improve the compensation of the child care and early education (CCEE) workforce. This request is for three categories of data collection. The first category is survey data with CCEE staff to understand the effects of two workforce development initiatives aimed at improving the wages of CCEE workers on their employment, economic, and well-being outcomes. The second category is interviews with a sample of participating workers to understand the operations required to implement these initiatives successfully. Finally, CCEE setting-level costs will be collected in order to understand the costs associated with implementing these initiatives.
