Abstract: The information to be collected is necessary to implement the alternative RIN retirement schedule for small refineries. As part of this rule, a participating small refinery will submit a notification to EPA indicating that the small refinery will use the alternative RIN retirement schedule and maintain records related to the determination and retirement of RINs under the alternative RIN retirement schedule. We estimate that 13 small refineries will use the alternative RIN retirement schedule.
