Abstract: The Federal Communication Commission's (Commission's) rules effective Nov. 30, 2019 require that Participating CMS providers (providers) be able to direct Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) to 100% of a target geographic area specified by an alert originator with no more than a 0.1 mile overshoot (enhanced geo-targeting). The FCC seeks to perform an information collection to evaluate the accuracy and performance of providers' enhanced geo-targeting implementations shortly after this date.
