Abstract: Citizen science is defined as research activities performed by members of the general public without any particular training in science. This study will assess the potential role of disaster citizen science in fostering community resilience to disasters, and develop tools for communities and health departments to understand and make use of disaster citizen science. Data collection includes 35-55 informant interviews/focus groups, and a survey of 300 local health officials.
