To remain competitive in the ever-changing global marketplace, employers need accurate
and up-to-date workforce information. The Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry
strives to provide you with quality data, and needs your assistance to produce this vital
information.
The Department, in cooperation with the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), is
requesting you complete the enclosed Occupational Employment Statistics report. Your
response is important, and the data you provide is essential to ensure current and reliable
information for Pennsylvania. Please be assured that non-government establishments’
information will be held in strict confidence, and your organization will not be identified in
any way. However, the statistical tabulations published by the BLS from this report may
reveal information reported by individual state or local governments including state and
local owned hospitals and education units.
There are several ways to provide the needed information so that your time commitment
will be minimal. Guidelines for completing the report and reporting options are enclosed.
We would appreciate your response within the next four weeks. A postage-paid envelope
is enclosed for your use. If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact us
