Abstract: National Marine Sanctuary regulations would be updated to re-open and update the sanctuary nomination process. Persons wanting to submit nominations for consideration should submit nominations and qualifying criteria for the the site to be designated. The Office of National Marine Sanctuaries would review the submissions, which would begin a public process to consider designation of new national marine sanctuaries. A new PRA number would be needed in order to accept nominations.
