We know saltwater sportfishing is important to you. During a recent field interview, you
agreed to participate in a voluntary survey. The enclosed survey is a joint effort between
NOAA Fisheries and the Gulf States Marine Fisheries Commission. We want to know what
you think about sportfishing experiences and regulations in the Gulf of Mexico.
You can be assured of complete confidentiality. The questionnaire has an identification
number for mailing purposes only. This is so that we can check your name off the mailing
list when your questionnaire is returned. Your name will never be placed on the
questionnaire.
Your help is critical to the success of the survey. You are one of a small number of
recreational anglers asked to give your input on these matters. Each survey needs to be
completed and returned so that the results reflect the preferences and opinions of a wide
range of recreational anglers.
