Abstract: VA Form 27-2008 is used to gather information that is necessary to determine whether a burial flag may be issued to the next-of-kin or friend of a deceased veteran to drape the casket or accompany the urn. Without this information, VA would be unable to properly determine eligibility for issuance of a burial flag.
