Abstract: The College Access Challenge Grant (CACG) statute requires grantees to submit an annual performance report that contains activities and services that have been implemented, the cost of providing such activities and services, the number of participating students, and contributions from private organizations. The U.S. Department of Education is collecting this information to ensure that states are complying with statutory requirements, grantees are making significant progress in meeting goals and objectives and that funds are being spent in an allowable, allocable, and reasonable manner.

Short Statement: The additional data from States is required to allow the U.S. Department of Education (ED) to determine if States have satisfied MOE requirements and if States are eligible to receive a waiver of those requirements based on exceptional or uncontrollable circumstances that prevented States from satisfying funding obligations. The increase in burden hours is 586 and the increase in the number of responses is 1. The respondents in the inventory went up from 56 to 57.
