Abstract: The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration (NHTSA) are jointly proposing new standards to address greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and fuel consumption in the heavy-duty (HD) trucking sector. As a result of these proposed standards, HD engine and HD vehicle manufacturers would be subject to new testing, reporting, and recordkeeping requirements. The paperwork and cost burdens associated with these new requirements are identified in this ICR.
