Abstract: SSA uses the Internet Direct Deposit Application to obtain enrollment information from beneficiaries who are interested in Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT) of their benefits. We use this Internet application to facilitate DD/EFT of Social Security benefits to a financial institution. The respondents are Social Security beneficiaries who use the Internet to enroll in DD/EFT.
