Abstract: 47 CFR Section 73.51 requires AM stations to make a notation in station log when using indirect measurement of power determination and to keep a recofd of the applicable value F (efficiency factor) to each mode of operation with a notation of its derivation. FCC staff use these data to assure that station is operating in accordance with authorization and by station personnel, if measurement by indirect method is necessary.
