Abstract: This information collection provides the U.S. Department of Education with information needed to evaluate, score and rank the quality of individual applicants applying for a Javits fellowship. Title VII, Part A of the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended, requires the collection of specific data that is necessary for applicants to receive a fellowship and for their institutions to receive both the initial and non-competing continuation grant awards to be administered during the term of the grant award per program and federal guidelines.
