Abstract: The Annual Capital Expenditues Survey (ACES) is the current source of comprehensive statistics on business investment in buildings and other structuers, machinery, and equipment from private nonfarm businesses. Government agencies use the data to improve economic indicators, evaluate productivity and industrial capacity measures, and analyze economic performance.
