Short Statement: This is a new collection resulting in a proposed rule that proposes processing and service rules for the 17/24 GHz Broadcasting Satellite Service ("17/24 GHz BSS"). This new service will introduce a new generation of broadband services to the public, providing a mix of local and domestic video, audio, data, video-on-demand and multimedia services to residential and business subscribers in the United States.
