Abstract: Data collected in this survey provide estimates of monthly retail sales, and end-of-month merchandise inventories, and quarterly e-commerce sales of retailers in the United States by selected kinds of business. Also, it provides monthly sales of food service establishments. The data provide a current statistical picture of the retail portion of consumer activity. The estimates collected measure current trends of economic activity that occur in the United States.
