Abstract: Rule requires that applicants for frequencies in the Public Safety, Industrial/Land Transportation and Business Categories must specify on the FCC Form 601 the frequencies on which the proposed system will 0operate pursuant to a recommendation by the applicable frequency coordinator. Applicants in the Specilized Mobile Radio (SMR) Category must request specific frequencies by including certain information in their applications the frequencies requested. The information is used to avoid potential interference that could result from the modification of a PLM radio facility to commercial use.
