Abstract: CDC has the primary responsibility for formulating strategies to reduce infections and slow the spread of antimicrobial resistance in dialysis centers. Each month participating centers records the number of hemodialysis patients they treat and maintain a log of all hospitalizations and intravenous antimicrobial starts.
