Abstract: The proposed amendments would establish more stringent require- ments for the control of hazardous air pollutants from coke oven batteries that chose to comply with maximum achievable control technology (MACT) standards under the 1993 rule. The proposed amendments would establish tighter visible emission limits for existing coke by-product batteries and would add emission limits and work practice standards to the current requirements for charging operations at new non-recovery batteries.
