Terms of Clearance: It is noted that the current approval of these forms expired 6/30/02. If these forms were used in the time since expiration, HHS must report this as a violation of the PRA. HHS has submitted these forms as "new" even though they had been previously approved under 0970-0199; this is because HHS wanted to "split apart" the collections under the old #. There is a semi-electronic process available for form submission. HHS will work to make sure that a fully electronic submission is available soon after reauthorization.

Abstract: These information collections are needed to meet the data collection requirements imposed by the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996 (PRWORA) and 45 CFR Parts 260 through 265 for the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program. The information will be used to calculate caseload reduction credits, provide other information for use in determining whether penalties should be imposed under PRWORA, and enable ACF to carry out oversight responsibilities.
