Abstract: SSA is revising its rules to allow us to conduct hearings before ALJs at which parties to the hearing and witnesses may appear before the ALJ by video teleconferencing (VTC). We are proposing these revisions to provide greater flexibility in scheduling and holding hearings, to improve hearing process efficiency, and to extend another service delivery option to individuals requesting a hearing.
