Terms of Clearance: This information collection request is approved as amended by ACF OMB approval includes only the survey of grantees on key data elements. As understanding what data elements are/could be collected by grantees is critical to the overall success of this study, ACF is strongly encouraged to work with grantees to ensure that all respond. After developing an understanding of what information will be available from each site and making any appropriate revisions, ACF may resubmit the study for OMB review and approval. OMB also notes that ACF conducted extensive site visits and interviews prior to submitting this package for OMB review, in violation of the Paperwork Reduction Act. This violation will be included in OMB's annual Information Collection Budget submitted to Congress.

Abstract: ACYF, in partnership with the Office of Child Support Enforcement (OCSE), recently funded 21 Early Head Start grantees to develop and implement creative practices to increase the involvement of fathers in their Early Head Start program and in the lives of their children. This submission requests approval to conduct the survey of demonstration staff and to collect father participation data froom the demonstration programs. To reduce the burden of demonstration staff, the survey is configured in four versions: Director, Father Coordinator, Family Specialist, and Teacher.
