Abstract: FFIEC 001 is an interagency report on fiduciary asset totals and activities, used to monitor changes in the volume and character of discretionary trust activity, volume of nondiscretionary trust activity, and resource needs for supervisory purposes. The data, used for statistical and analytical purposes, is collected from state member banks with trust powers and state trust companies not otherwise supervised by a federal banking agency. FFIEC 006 is the only available known source of the volume of trust or fiduciary activities of foreign banking affilates of US banking organizations; used for supervisory purposes.
