Section 510 of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act requires that domestic establishments engaged in the manufacturer, preparation, propagation, compounding, assembly, or processing of medical devices intended for human use and commercial distribution register their establishments and list all devices they manufacture with the Food and Drug Administration. This is accomplished by completing FDA forms 2891; 2891a, and 2892.
