Abstract: In this proceeding, the Commission releases a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) that seeks comment on issues regarding whether and how the Commission might bring flexibility to the delivery of Mobile Satellite Service. The NPRP, FCC 01-225; 1B Docket No. 01-185 and ET Docket No. 95-18 was released on August 17, 2001. The proposals contained in this NPRM would result in new or modified information collection requirements that would be necessary to facilitate the proposed rules if and when they become definitive.
