Abstract: This proposed collection of information would require trawl catcher/processor vessels fishing in the Aleutian Islands to install and use Vessel Monitoring System units when participating in the Atka mackerel fishery. The vessel owners would be responsible for installing and maintaining the units, ensuring data transmission, and for the data transmission charges. The information is needed for enforcement of fishery management regulations.
