Abstract: We are conducting the Informal Caregiver Survey (ICS) as part of the 1999 Long-Term Care Survey. The ICS obtains data about the people who provide the health care services required by the impaired elderly population. Planners use the information to determine how to meet the future health care needs of people 65 years old and over.
