Abstract: This data collection is necessary to assign initial fishing privileges under the limited entry system for the red snapper fishery in the Gulf of Mexico. Fishermen not assigned privileges may file appeals. When a change in vessel ownership takes place and the limited entry permit is to be transferred with the vessel, a copy of the related legal document must be submitted.
