Abstract: VA often requires that goods furnished to VA meet certain standards, such as those of Underwriters Laboratory (UL) or the National Fire Protection Association. Bidders wishing to furnish goods not already meeting these standards can, instead, furnish a certificate showing that the goods meet the standard. The information is used by VA to ensure the procurement of safe products.
