Abstract: Rule 498 allows open-end management investment companies to use a summary prospectus ("profile") for distribution to investors. Summary disclosure assists investors in evaluating and comparing the many fund investments available. Investors may choose to invest from an application included in the profile or to request additional information, including the fund prospectus.
