Abstract: The PMI demonstration project is integrating community planning and social marketing approaches to prevention of HIV infection in young people in five cities around the country. After extensive technical assistance, specially constituted community coalitions have planned interventions including media, skills-building workshops for adolescents and their parents, peer outreach, and condom distribution. To detect trends in expsoure to PMI's prevention messages and simultaneous trends in levels of risk behaviors and their determinants, a five time-point tracking study via phone survey is planned for the three sites that....
