(This ICR was submitted for OMB review on 1/19/96, approved on 2/15/96, and OMB review resumed on 2/16/96, at the request of EPA, in order to allow the full 30 days for public comment as called for under 5 CFR 1320.10. Abstract: In accordance with the Government Performance Results Act, the Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance is striving to measure program performance in terms of outcomes. Compliance assistance programs are a new component of State enforcement programs and need to be evaluated as a supplemental tool to traditional enforcement methods.
