Abstract: This program seeks to reduce permanently the fishing capacity within Northeast fisheries. Applicants must provide information on vessel ownership, catch history, financial information, and a bid for the amount for which the applicant's Federal fishing permit will be surrendered. NOAA will use the information to select the vessels to be removed.
