Abstract: DETERGENT OR OTHER ADDITIVE REQUIREMENT OF 42 U.S.C. 7545(1) THAT ADDITIVES BE IN GASOLINE AS SPECIFIED IN EPA REGULATION. THE RULE REQUIRES CERTIFICATION TO DEMONSTRATE PERFORMANCE AND NECESSARY CONCENTRATION AND WHAT FUELS IT CAN BE USED FOR. RECORDS PASSED DOWNSTREAM TO CARRIERS, ETC., SO THAT THOSE WHO ADD ADDITIVES KNOW WHAT CONCENTRATION TO USE AND SO EPA CAN MONITOR COMPLIANCE.
