Abstract: CDC HAD DEVELOPED A MODEL PERFORMANCE EVALUATION PROGRAM TO ASSESS THE QUALITY AND EFFECTIVENESS OF EMERGING LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIES. IN ADDITION TO ALLOWING LABORATORIES TO EVALUATE THEMSELVES, CDC HOPES TO BUILD A DATABASE DESCRIBING CURRENT LABORATORY TESTING PRACTICES FOR T TOTAL HIV-1 AND RETROVIRAL TESTING PROCESSES.
