Abstract: FISHING INDUSTRY, MARINE RESOURCES CONSERVATION, ALASKA, VESSEL PERMI A MAJOR PROBLEM OF EXCESS HARVESTING CAPACITY HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED IN T GROUNDFISH, CRAB, AND HALIBUT FISHERIES IN AND OFF ALASKA.
