Abstract: EPA WILL MONITOR INDIVIDUAL ENGINE MANUFACTURERS' COMPLIANCE WITH THE CLEAN AIR ACT REQUIREMENT THAT ENGINES AND EQUIPMENT BE FREE OF FEDERA EMISSION STANDARDS DEFECTS DURING EACH ENGINE'S USEFUL LIFE. MANUFACTURERS PROVIDE REPORTS IF A CERTAIN NUMBER OF ENGINES EXHIBIT A EMISSION DEFECT AND ASSOCIATED REPORTS OF A VOLUNTARY RECALL.
