Abstract: THE DIETARY AND LIFE-STYLE DATA TO BE COLLECTED WILL BE USED TO ESTIMA RADIATION EXPOSURE AND TO DETERMINE WHETHER NATIVE AMERICAN EXPOSURE I DIFFERENT SUBSTANTIALLY FROM THAT OF THE GENERAL POPULATION. EXPOSURE ESTIMATES WILL THEN BE USED TO DETERMINE WHETHER A FULL EPIDEMIOLOGIC STUDY OF THYROID DISEASE SPECIFICALLY IN THE NATIVE AMERICAN POPULATIO IS SCIENTIFICALLY JUSTIFIABLE AND FEASIBLE.
